Reaching Finland

DS 2011 conference will be organized in Espoo, in the greater Helsinki area in Finland. Finland resides in Northern Europe and is a member state of the European Union. It also belongs to the Schengen area in Europe.

Helsinki is best reached by flight. Helsinki has direct flights from all the major airports in Europe and major hubs in Asia and North America.

Public transport is reliable and quick. You can take the bus from the airport (cost: 5 EUR), or a taxi. Taxi to the hotels would cost about 40 EUR. There is no train connection from/to the airport.

Buses 102, 102T, 103, 103T, 194, 194A, and 195 travel from Dipoli Congress Centre to Helsinki city centre at short intervals. Accommodation

The conference organization has pre-booked hotel rooms at selected locations. It is advisable to select a hotel either in central Helsinki or one of the suggested hotels in Espoo. Conference location is reachable by bus from the Helsinki city center in roughly 20 minutes at a price of 5 EUR.

We list some hotels that are conveniently located and have good public transport possibilities to the conference location at the Dipoli Congress Centre.
