DS 2011 provides an open forum for intensive discussions and exchange of new ideas among researchers working in the area of Discovery Science. The proceedings of DS 2011 will appear in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) Series by Springer-Verlag.

Submitted manuscripts may contain up to fifteen (15) pages and must be formatted according to the layout supplied by Springer-Verlag for the Lecture Notes in Computer Science series. Information for LNCS authors are available from Springer website. Contributions formatted with LaTeX typesetting system are strongly encouraged, the LaTeX style files for LNCS Series are available from Springer.

It is required that at least one author of each accepted paper registers for the conference. Details of the submission procedure are available on the registration page.
